Autumn Term 2025
Welcome to our first newsletter of the year and what a term we have had! We have been busy getting involved in so many different activities, trips and so much more. Keep reading to find out all about what we have been up to!
Y1 Trip to Heeley City Farm
In September out Year 1 class attended a trip to Heeley City Farm.
They had so much fun looking at all the animals at the farm and learning all about what they eat and where they live in the wild!
Y1 behaved amazingly on this trip. Well done Y1!
Belonging Day
As part of the Show Racism The Red Card day in September we held a Belonging Day where we encouraged all children and staff to wear clothing and share stories about home countries.
It was amazing to see all the different clothing and hear all about the different cultures in our community!
Y2 & Y5 Trip to Yorkshire Wildlife Park
Our Y2 and Y5 classes attended a trip to Yorkshire Wildlife Park this term and had an amazing time.
They were able to walk around the park and learn about all the animals that were on show.
The Y5's particularly enjoyed learning about the giraffes!
Y6 Trip to Eden Camp
Y6 went on a trip to Eden camp in October as part of their history topic.
Eden camp is a modern history museum built where a prisoner of war camp once stood.
The class really enjoyed this trip and behaved really well. Well done Y6!
Harvest Breakfast
As a school this year we held our annual harvest breakfast which was lovley. All our classes were able to sit and eat their breakfast together! All the children and staff really enjoyed themselves.
We would like to say a massive thank you to all who donated to the Archer Project this year.
We had a massive amount of food and other items donated which were greatly appreciated by the Archer Project!
Children in need
For Children in Need this year we asked everyone to come to school dressed in something spotty and/or yellow.
We raised a massive £245.70 for an amazing charity! Thank you to everyone that took part and donated!
Nursery Stay and Play
Nursery held lots of stay and play sessions this term.
They are a great way for Parents/Carers to see how their children access our provision and interact with their peers.
Winter Windows
All of our wonderful classes created art work to be displayed in the hall for our winter windows. We think they did brilliantly and love all the different creations each class came up with!
Winter Fair
In December we held our first Winter Fair in recent years and it was a huge success.
All staff had an amazing time and were blown away by the amount of families who attended.
We raised a whopping £1780 for school funds!
Thank you to all who attended and we hope you had as much fun as we did!
FS2 & KS1 Nativity
In December our FS2 and KS1 classes performed our annual nativity and did an amazing job! They worked so hard and practiced every day which really showed!
Thank you to all parents who came and watched the performance!
