Newsletter 2: Mr Goodhand - End of Half-Term
20/10/2023
Hello again,
We’ve had a fantastic first half-term at Netherthorpe Primary School with lots of hard work and excellent learning taking place. All the staff have been very impressed with the children’s attitudes to learning, behaviour and enthusiasm for learning since we have returned.
Next half-term promises to be an exciting one with more trips and visits being organised, a celebration of the school’s 150th birthday and parent consultation evenings (amongst other things) all taking place.
A huge thank you for all the donations for our Harvest Breakfast event. Once again, we are overwhelmed at the generosity of our community and we know that all the food and supplies donated will make a huge difference to those in need. The children had a lovely breakfast in school to celebrate and recognise their kindness to others through their donations. The whole school enjoyed breakfasting together, trying some new foods and having a lovely morning conversation before getting down to learning.
Our school choir is now up and running again and is proving more popular than ever, following on from our successful choir performance in Birmingham last summer. It’s great to see so many of our children enjoying signing together and the sound they make is lovely to hear in school.
I hope that you and your families enjoy a restful, safe and fun half-term break and we look forward to welcoming you back for the Autumn 2 half-term on the other side of the holiday.
