Progression of Skills
Our Key Stage One and Two curriculum, builds progressively from the learning in the Foundation Stage.
The National Curriculum, our own knowledge and a variety of other sources have been used to create subject specific progressions of disciplinary knowledge. Our skills documents are organised into three progressive stages - Key Stage One, Lower Key Stage Two and Upper Key Stage Two.
Chosen skills are then integrated into units of work which alongide identified vocabulary and enqiry questions, then form the knowledge and skills documents that can be found on the subject pages of the website. Our progressive and appropriately sequenced curricular structure enables our pupils to develop subject specific knowledge and skills preparing them well for the next stages of their education.
