THE STAFF OF NETHERTHORPE SCHOOL

There are several people who work across all areas of the school. Without them, the school would not function as smoothly as it does.

MR KEIGHLEY is the Headteacher. As well as being responsible for the progress of the school, he tries to make sure all his pupils and staff are safe and happy. Mr Keighley works alongside other Headteachers to improve the conditions and standards in many schools across the city.

MRS HALL is the School Business Manager and the first point of contact for anyone entering or contacting the school. She manages her many responsibilities in a friendly and helpful manner.

MRS WILDSMITH is the Buildings Supervisor. As well as overseeing the maintenance of the school environment, her good humour and kindness cheers parents, pupils and teachers alike. Mr Wildsmith

helps with the cleaning and security of the Sports Hall as well as cleaning the school.

MISS AMANDA BONNINGTON is the Learning Mentor at Netherthorpe. She works with pupils and parents, encouraging their involvement with school life. Amanda has established a Breakfast Club, which is very popular. A group of dedicated parents and grandparents run this alongside her. Other areas of development involve Family Learning, parents making Story Sacks to promote reading for younger pupils, working alongside a teacher to develop a pupil run newspaper and a host of other initiatives.

MRS HUSSAIN and MR JAMA support all the children whose first language is not English. Mrs Hussain is from Iraq and speaks Arabic. Mr Jama is from Somalia and speaks Somali. Both teachers speak a range of other languages which is very helpful and reassuring for those parents They are available to help translate and explain school matters.
