At Netherthorpe we strongly believe that good attendance and punctuality are vital for a child to maximise their potential and to ensure that he or she can build strong friendships and take a full part in school life.
By promoting the importance of attendance and punctuality we are helping to equip our children for life and support their futures as employees and employers. This will help them to make a positive contribution to society.
Our attendance target for this year is 94.5% and our actual attendance figure has improved overall compared to last year.
We have lots of systems in place in school to monitor and encourage good attendance and we also need the help of parents to improve our attendance still further.
We would like to say a massive well done to the following children who came to school everyday throughout the Spring Term!

One reason why behaviour is outstanding is the way in which pupils from different backgrounds work and play together so happily. They remark that 'everyone shows respect' and 'the school is like a family.'
